More Children in the Homes

Thanks for your prayers! The Cooledges have received their work permit for another year in Zimbabwe. It’ll be up for renewal on August 29th, 2009.
- continued construction of 4 new children’s homes. Roofs are on. Plastering, electrical and plumbing are now being worked on inside each home.- started pouring concrete on the second storey floor of the double storey school block (pictures right between & beyond the current school blocks for grades 1-6)!

Praise the Lord that the Village of Hope has been free of violence and remained a peaceful oasis in the middle of this country.
The foundation with steel rods for a Double Storey school block is going in! This building will hold 4 classrooms, computer lab, library and Sports office.
Chrispen, aged 12, received medical treatment for an infected boil on his left leg, his left leg swollen to twice it’s size. He was running and attending school 4 days later. His family could not afford a doctors visit or medication. Our staff took him to the doctor, treated the sores and bandaged them daily until healed.
Fatima, aged 5, was treated at the VOH and healed quickly of a bad burn from scalding water. Her mother could not afford to take Fatima to clinic.
