Although the need in Zimbabwe is tremendous and the vision for the Village of Hope is huge there are many people like you who are supporting us in many different ways. It is this support that makes the Village of Hope possible. There are many ways in which you can help bring HOPE to the children…

In Prayer

We unapologetically promote that the foundation to everything done at the Village of Hope is the gospel of Jesus Christ and the power of His spirit at work in prayer. If you follow the stories in our newsletters you will discover that every success is the result of much prayer and faith that God will provide. That is why prayer is the first thing on the list of ways in which you can help us. To aid our supporters in knowing what to pray for we include prayer requests in each of our newsletters and you can also follow the prayer requests on this website.

Communicate

Sometimes it’s nice to receive an encouraging word from people around the world who express their support for what is happening here. We do our best to respond to any letters or communication we receive - but sometimes (especially with electronic communication) the infrastructure creates some delays in our responses so please be patient :) . One of the reasons the website is here is to afford yet another way for us to communicate with you and for you to communicate with us (you can leave comments attached to any of the prayer requests/praise reports/or newsletter entries). For ways to contact us see the information box at the bottom of every page.

Another important aspect of communication is “spreading the word”. Zimbabwe is a country that is very seldom in the world media spotlight and because of this, many have no idea of the significant problems this country faces. Do you have a blog? Does your church or organization support any missions/relief/humanitarian efforts? Can you help us get the word out about what the Village of Hope is doing in Zimbabwe and how we can make a difference for these children?

Financially

As it is with any organization of this scope, there are significant resources needed to see the Vision accomplished. However sometimes it’s not just giving money that helps. If you have a service, or other material resources (donations of supplies, equipment etc.) please contact us and see if that’s something that we can use.

Here’s some of the ongoing needs at the Village.

  1. Capital Expenses: Between finishing the school blocks, the orphanage homes, and medical center there is still a lot of construction left to do.
  2. ChildCare Plus. Sponsoring a child is one of the most effective ways of fulfilling our vision. When you become a ChildCare Plus sponsor you “adopt” a child and make regular monthly payments that contribute to their health, education, food, and shelter needs. More information about ChildCarePlus can be obtained here. This program operates in many countries all over the world, so be sure to specify that you want a child from “Village of Hope, Zimbabwe”
  3. Support the Cooledges. You can help support the needs of the Cooledges by giving towards their annual budget as PAOC missionaries in Zimbabwe.
  4. Day to Day operation of the VOH. Salaries for teachers, supporting the children’s homes, maintenance expenses and related staff salaries are things that need to be supported. All of the projects related to the Village of Hope have ongoing expenses that need to be taken care of.
